Temple Run

Props to Imangi Studios for their game Temple Run, a captivating title that has you on the edge of your seat every time you play! From the beautiful 3D environments to the fast-paced gameplay that has you jumping over alligator infested waters and ducking under deadly obstacles, this addictive title raises the bar for endless runners. The whole Moonshark team especially loves the the way Temple Run pokes fun at the myriad of gruesome deaths that await players with neat illustrations and witty one-liners.

Super Crate Box

Super Crate Box, a collaboration between awesome indie studios Vlambeer and Halfbot, is a stellar game that does away with all the fluff and delivers concentrated pick-up-and-play action. No matter how many times one might die of a fiery death or an untimely disc gun blade to the face; players just can’t seem to stop from diving right back into the mayhem.

Egg Punch

Egg Punch is an app that has risen in visibility over the last few weeks, currently occupying 5th place on the App Store’s most downloaded Free Apps list. Players roll a tiny bird egg around a colorful world with gameplay that draws many similarities to a round of mini-golf. The newly formed Danish developer Pixel Juice succeeded in creating an easy-going and enjoyable mobile experience that’s tough to put down.

CloudOn

CloudOn’s description boldly touts the ability to seamlessly merge your iPad, Dropbox, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint into one simple app. Surprisingly, it delivers on the promise. It’s a great way to view and edit your documents in the actual programs in which they were created — without the need for your laptop or desktop. Love this idea for traveling. We say give it a shot, but back up first! Do it quick, though — we can’t tell if Microsoft is an official partner in this little venture, so if they decide they don’t like iPad users using their applications for FREE… this app might not be around for very long.

Hello world!

This is the inaugural post of our company blog, where we hope to enthrall you with company announcements, musings on the mobile industry, apps we think are spectacular, the occasional cat video, and other share-worthy media.

So what is Moonshark you ask? Two answers:

It’s our company! Previously known as Creative Mobile Labs, we are a mobile entertainment publisher backed by CAA and Qualcomm bringing to market stunningly original mobile entertainment properties (apps) by pairing the most creative minds in Hollywood with the world’s best mobile developers. We fund, produce, market and publish app concepts developed in partnership with creative talent and independent developers.
A Moonshark is a shark that lives on the moon.
