Where can I download Verticus™ for my iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch?
You can download Verticus™ from the App Store within iTunes (version 7.7 or higher) on your computer, or simply tap the App Store icon on your device. You will need to be running iOS version 4.3 or higher on your device. Search for “Verticus” under the Games section.

What settings will ensure the best gaming experience?
From your device’s home screen, choose SETTINGS > GENERAL > and choose AUTO-LOCK and change it to 5 minutes or turn it off temporarily to prevent the screen from prematurely dimming or automatically locking.
Use your headphones to enjoy the music and sound effects.
When not using headphones, remember not to cover the speaker, otherwise sounds will be inaudible.

Is there a vibration function?
Verticus™ does not feature vibration.

How do I adjust the screen brightness?
From your device’s home screen, choose SETTINGS > BRIGHTNESS & WALLPAPER and adjust accordingly.

How can I change the controls?
From the main menu, tap the settings button and choose “Left” or “Right” accordingly.

How do I play Verticus™?
A How to Play tutorial is automatically shown the first time Verticus™ is played.
You can review the How to Play tutorial at any time by tapping on the help (?) button from the main menu.

Where can I purchase upgrades for Verticus™?
You can purchase upgrades such as power-ups, weapons, and new suits for Verticus™ from the in-app store by tapping on the UPGRADES button on the main menu.

Technical Issues

What should I do if I am experiencing crashing?
If you are experiencing crashing, we recommend that you first try restarting your device:

  • Hold the button at the top of the device until the red slider appears.
  • Slide the red power button off.
  • Wait about 30 seconds, then hold the top button again to turn your phone back on.

If you’re still experiencing issues, you may want to try reinstalling Verticus:

  • From the Home screen, tap and hold the Verticus app icon until it shakes.
  • Tap the X on the app to delete it.
  • Go to the App Store and reinstall Verticus.

How can I save my progress?
Your high scores and in-app purchases will automatically be saved.

How can I pause the game?
At any time during gameplay, you can tap the “pause” button on the top left corner of the screen.

How can I adjust the music / sound effect volume?
You can adjust the overall sound volume via your device’s standard volume controls.
Additionally, you can specifically adjust the music, sound effect, and commander volume by tapping the settings button on the main menu and adjusting the volume sliders accordingly.
If you are unable to hear any sound through your device’s speakers, please make sure nothing is plugged into the headphone jack and that the MUTE switch is in the OFF position.

What should I do if I can’t hear any audio in Verticus™?
Please make sure nothing is plugged into the device’s headphone jack and that the MUTE switch is in the OFF position. If you are still unable to hear any audio, it’s possible your device is running low on memory. Please close Verticus™ along with all other apps running in the background, then restart your device.

The game seems slow, how can I improve the performance?
Try rebooting the device to clear the memory or exit other applications that might be taking up excessive memory to achieve the highest quality of game play.
